Mountains Mosor

This mountain is located between mountain Klis (route between Split and inland) and the river Cetina, which open into the sea in Omis. Rocks, Limes Mountain is plain. River Cetina flows through the mountains Mosor to the powerstation.

In the mountains are some marked hikes. The most beautiful is the most beautiful hike from Split to the mountain cottage. The hike from village Kostlenice is longer and more difficult, and is going through well known karts cave Vrnjaca. The highest peak is Velik Kabal (1339). Under the peak is located Vickov stup, the sharp tower made from iron. The Peak and the top of the tower offer beautiful view, but the most beautiful is from mountain Sveti Jur, called also Kozik – located on the north from Omis. The summer is not the best time for visit of mountain Mosor.

The historical museum Poljica is located at village Gata under the south hills of mountains Moser, near the route from Omis to inland. The area of Poljica includes 20 villages.
